The middle son of a children’s librarian, I grew up in the Boston suburb of Wayland, MA. I’ve always been a reader, but my first job as a page in the Wayland Public Library really turned me on to libraries. My years at the WPL certainly helped lead me where I am today.
When I’m not library-ing, reading, cooking, eating, or sleeping, I’m generally either cycling, running, or swimming. I started running seriously in high school, and in college I took up bike racing. Swimming was the next logical step. I ran my first marathon, the United States Air Force Marathon at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, in September 2010.
My wife Ashley (whom I met at a library conference) and I were married in September, 2011. We live in Columbus, OH.
